WEEKLY MEAL PLANS 010

April 15, 2018

Ok so we all have some kind of routine when it comes to grocery shopping right? I don’t like to say I “meal prep” because I more or less plan our meals for the week and then go shopping based off of that list. For the past couple of months I’ve been sharing my grocery hauls (80% from Trader Joes and about 20% from Sprouts) on Instagram and people seem to find it very helpful. One of the main requests I get is to share the recipes for the meals I share. So I’m going to share my weekly meals with links to recipes, products used, and more in depth review of each meal here, in addition to continue sharing on the (insta) gram.

1 – Pesto Flatbread | We got whole wheat pizza dough from Trader Joes and I’m going to top it with THIS vegan pesto, mozzarella cheese (left over from last weeks chicken meat balls), Italian chicken sausage and onion

2 – Burrito Bowls | I asked Travis what he wanted for dinners and he said Burrito Bowls. So Burrito Bowls it is! My burrito bowls look like this: cilantro lime rice, black beans, THIS corn , non fat greek yogurt (sub for sour cream), avocado, jack cheese and serve it with black bean taquitos. I know it seems like a lot but these come together fairly quick and easy.

3 – Roasted Vegetable Bowls | Another easy meal for us. I picked up a sweet potato, red bell pepper, mushrooms and onion to roast and throw over greens, quinoa and chicken sausage and top with avocado if we have any left over.

4 + 5 are going to be left over from last week that we didn’t get around to making. We’re going to do Orange Chicken bowls, and black bean sweet potato tacos.

Before I get questions, I’m only sharing dinners because breakfast and lunch are less than exciting for us. I am lucky enough to get breakfast and lunch for free at work. Some mornings I will take overnight oats, or yogurt with granola and peanut butter for breakfast. Travis usually eats cereal or toaster waffles for breakfast. For Trav’s lunches, he will usually have left overs, or PB+J sandwich with fresh fruit/vegetables I keep cut up in the fridge. So that’s why I only share our dinners.

If you do have any other questions, leave them below. I’m going to do a post in the coming weeks on all the questions I’ve been getting in response to my weekly meal plans.

You can see past meal plans HERE.

Make sure to follow along on Instagram where I walk through my weekly meal plan and show you my grocery haul on Instastories each Sunday!
