Christmas Decorations 2014

December 18, 2014

Not much changed from last year’s decorations. You can see last years decorations HERE. A couple major projects I got around to DIYing this year included our stockings (yes Vettel our kitten got one too), the CHEER signage over our mirror (DIY from HERE), and the felt garland. I’ve come to the conclusion that my Christmas theme is “Cozy” accented with plaid and reindeer, with hints of red green and white. I didn’t come up with that and then go for it, it’s kind of more what I’ve gravitated towards when choosing decorations I think would look good.

Nothing over the top extravagant, but just right for my little apartment. I made the stockings with fabric from JoAnn’s and lined them with green fleece. The wooden initials are from Target and the smaller one I grabbed from JoAnn’s and painted it a dark brown to match. I think next year the first project I need to get around to doing is a tree skirt. If you were wondering, the towel is there not for decoration, but because little Miss Vettel loves to play with the water in the tree stand.
